Like anything, focus groups have their strengths and challenges, so it is worth looking into what makes a good focus group. When constructing and conducting a focus group, there are three key design considerations: number of participants, diversity and number of groups. It’s good to know both why and when to use focus groups. Focus groupsįocus groups are organised, facilitated discussions, that try to recreate natural conversations, and for which the group interaction is the data.
